The Mount Baker Community Club (MBCC)

As an all volunteer organization, The Mount Baker Community Club (MBCC) relies on the active involvement of its members to accomplish many undertakings. Please consider joining us by volunteering for one of the open positions, or just offer your support and assistance to any of the board members or activities and become a part of our community's future.  If you like to register to receive e-mailed updates, go to our Yahoo group (MBCCCommunityNotices) page.
 

Membership in our Community Club is open to anyone who lives, works or goes to school in the area bounded by Norman Street on the north, MLK and Rainier Avenue on the west, Conover and Genesee Streets on the south, and Lake Washington Blvd. on the east. While there are no membership dues required to be a member of the MBCC, we rely on contributions to fund all our activities during each calendar year. These activities include:

• Publishing our monthly newsletter "Mt. Baker View" to 4,900 homes

• Maintaining our website

• Building & improving our neighborhood parks

• Funding administrative costs for the Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholarship program

• Providing ongoing events for the children of Mt. Baker, such as the monthly Pied Piper series, and the annual Day in the Park

• Hosting annual community events such as Day in the Park, Christmas Ships, Spring Dance, and Newcomers' Potluck, and Children's Garden

• Providing concerts and entertainment like the monthly Pied Piper series for children and adults

• Providing grants to community organizations to use our Clubhouse

By contributing, you become an active member of our community providing the necessary means to support the wide variety of programs that benefit the community. All members of the Mount Baker Community Club are entitled to take advantage of discounts on rental of the Clubhouse.

MBCC is a non-profit organization, and your contributions are tax-deductible. Please consider contributing at the highest level possible. This solicitation is made annually to cover the calendar year, January to December.
