Volunteers make it happen!

Volunteers are the heart and soul of the Mount Baker Community Club, making all of our programs and parks projects possible through their generous contributions of time and energy. Volunteering is a fun way to meet your neighbors and support the growth of our community; no time commitment is too small.

We're also seeking committee members to assist with events and programs—openings are listed here!

Volunteering FAQs

  • As much or as little as you'd like to give. For example, volunteering at a Kindie event may involve helping with tickets and cleanup, which takes just over an hour. Joining a committee typically requires a monthly meeting and assisting with tasks like booking performers or managing communications. Board members also meet monthly to support committees and volunteers. Attend a Monthly Community Meeting or contact us for an informal chat to see what suits you best.

  • To be a Board member, you must live, work, or go to school in Mount Baker. To volunteer or join a committee, you simply need to love the neighborhood!

  • No experience is necessary—just bring a big heart and a commitment to making our community thrive. If you have skills in event planning, marketing, finance, legal matters, or any other area, we’d love to put them to use, but all are welcome to help!

  • While these roles are unpaid, you’ll meet amazing people, have fun, and feel proud of the positive impact you're making. Plus, you’ll be part of what makes Mount Baker such a special place to live, regularly featured as one of Seattle’s top neighborhoods—with our Clubhouse often highlighted as a key part of that charm.

  • Nope, just reach out! We’re happy to answer any questions and arrange an informal chat.
